How many cabins does PlayaMagma have?
6 cabins: Agua, Tierra, Fuego 1, Fuego 2, Luna and Sol.
Is there air conditioning in every cabin?
Yes, every cabin has air conditioning.
Do they all have a private bathroom?
Yes, all of them have a private hot-water bathroom.
Which cabin is best for couples?
Cabaña Tierra (teak suite) or Fuego 1 / Fuego 2 (teak A-frames). All three are intimate and have special architectural design.
Which cabin is best for families of 3 or more?
Cabañas Agua and Sol have capacity for 6 guests each, and Luna for 5. Agua and Sol have 2 bathrooms, Luna has 1.
Is a kitchen available?
Agua, Tierra and Sol have their own equipped kitchen. Luna, Fuego 1 and Fuego 2 use the farm's communal kitchen, available to all guests.
Do you offer a meal service?
We don't have a restaurant, but if you'd like a local cook to prepare traditional Manabí dishes for you, we're happy to arrange it. Just let us know when booking or on arrival.
Is there yoga on the farm?
Yes, PlayaMagma has a yoga shala available for guests and groups.
Can I camp on site?
Yes, the farm has designated camping areas within its 11,000 m².
Where is the beach?
A few minutes from the farm on foot or by bike (900 m to the Ruta del Spondylus, then direct access to the Ayampe/Las Tunas beach).
Do you organize excursions?
Yes, PlayaMagma arranges hikes, local excursions, horseback rides and bike rentals. ATVs and motorbikes are coming soon.

Where is PlayaMagma? Is it in Ayampe or Las Tunas?
Right between them: PlayaMagma sits between Ayampe and Las Tunas, in the Salango parish (Puerto López, Manabí, Ecuador), 900 meters from the Ruta del Spondylus on the mountain side. It's 20–30 minutes from Puerto López, 15–20 from Montañita and 2.5–3.5 hours from Guayaquil.
Do you have a temazcal?
Yes. The farm has a working temazcal for ceremonies and traditional wellness experiences. Arrange it in advance on WhatsApp, for your stay or for your group.
Can I host a yoga, holistic or corporate retreat at PlayaMagma?
Yes. You can rent the whole farm — the cabins, yoga shala, temazcal, communal kitchen and every common area — for yoga retreats, holistic and spiritual retreats, corporate trainings, rituals and private events.
When is the best time for a beach vacation in Ayampe?
December to April brings more sun, warmer water (up to 27 °C) and a livelier beach scene. June to September is humpback whale season. If you're after peace and quiet beaches, the best months are October–November and May–June.
